At the shows, matches, litter and news in general at Zesta:

November

November 27th -29th- Calgary  Ab

Jenn finishes 2009 with 12 Champions - 11 Zesta Champions. Congrats to Linda Snider and her Abby who was just coating up and decided to get her out for the last show of 2009 where on the Sunday she goes Best of Winners for her 3rd 5 point win and to become the 11th champion in one year to finish for Zesta.  Jenn also put 2 sets of points on Vanna's littermate Zesta Highland Storm Ryder, for owners Bobbie and Chris Morton. Watch for Ryder to be out in the new year to garner that last win! What a fantastic year and congrats to all the Shelties and there owners who had a marvellous year!

November 20th

Annie aka Ch. Chelson's Annie Get Your Gun whelps a beautiful litter of 4 2 boys, 2 girls.  Proud papa is Ch. Zesta Maverick!

November 06th-08th  - Red Deer Ab

After the busy weekend at LMLD. The plan was to take it easy with one class male. Milo went Winner's Dog all weekend and Best of Winners on Friday to become New Champion Zesta Radiance Shines Through" owned by Deb and Fonz Runco. Now he is moving on to the Obedience Ring.  Jenn also brought Laila - Ch. Zesta Showin' Off out to play and although she didn't win she remembered in short order what showing was all about and was well received by all.

November 01st - Lower Main Land Show - Abbotsford BC

Scandal is Reserve Winners and Corey is Best Puppy in Breed! What a weekend.

October

October 30th  - Lower Main Land Show - Abbotsford BC

From the Junior Puppy Classes - Zesta Wynning Edge and Zesta Scandalous are Reserve Winners Male and Female and then Scandal goes on to defeat her littermate Edge for Best Puppy in Breed and then on to Best Puppy in Group!! This little girl is on the move!

October 29th Peace Arch Working Herding Specialty

Havoc is Best of Opposite, Corey is Best Puppy and Scandalous wins her class, Great job all!

Jenn and Gabe are off to Abbotsford BC for the  Tradex shows, safe driving everyone.

October 23-25th, Camrose, AB

Wow! What a weekend!  Jenn has a hat trick as she finishes 3 champions:

  • New Ch. Zesta A Knight To Remember - Lucan
  • New Ch, Zesta Northern Tale - Piper
  • New Ch, Zesta Encore - Corey

Sunday the 25th begins with Lucan going Winners Dog and completing his Championship and then Havoc takes another Breed and Group 4th!'

The Rally Shelties did us proud with the following wins:

Linda was happy to report NO Handler errors this weekend Yeah!

  • Zesta A Knights Tale CDX RA - Max completes his Rally Advanced title with a Perfect Score - 100
  • Zesta Wanna Be Blue CDX RN - Abby  received two nice scores  95 and 98 in Rally Advanced!

Anja had a great weekend as well with the following wins in Rally:

  The weekend only gets better as on Saturday October 24th, under judge Karen Doyle from Texas winning continued with :

  • Havoc receiving his 100th Best of Breed and his 95th Group Placement
  • Piper became New Champion Zesta Northern Tale  going Winners Female,  Best of Winners and Best of Opposite
  • Corey was Best Puppy in Breed!

The weekend is off to a great start with the following wins on October 23rd, at the CSSA Booster under judge Nancy Tibbens of Golden Hylite Shelties:

  • Corey - New Ch. Zesta Encore - Best of Winners and Best Puppy saw Gail Stewart return to help Jenn out, thanks Gail.
  • Lucan - Zesta A Knight To Remember - Reserve Winners Male
  • Piper - Zesta Northern Tale - Reserve Winners Female.

On the rally side Ch. Zesta A Knight's Tale aka Heath completes his CKC Rally Title with a perfect score and High in Class.  Congrats Nancy!

At  the Battle River Shows with Corey, Lucan,  Piper and Havoc,  the juniors  as well as the Rally kids!

Oct 9th - 11th, Edmonton AB

Jenn and Gabe had fun with the boys this weekend with "Milo - Zesta Radiance Shines Through" owned by long time friends Deb and Fonz Runco picking up two sets of points going Winners Dog on under judge Melvin Beech and then Best of Winners on Sunday under judge John Connolly . On Saturday our boy  Edge - Zesta Wynning Edge" picked up another set of points to be on the dreaded 9 from the junior puppy class under judge Rick Fehler. Maverick was out as a Special and won the Breed on Friday and Sunday this sees his occasional showing and getting back into the groove of being a show dog!! He is a comin!!

September

September 25th - 27th, Lloydminster SK

The quiet weekend for Jenn ended up with Hav A Dog!! (Havoc) being on '99' Best of Breeds. Yeah Jenn and Havoc! Jenn was also able to help out the Seifrieds' and put 8 points on Zesta Blue Bliss.

September 18-19-20,  Balgonie SK

Jenn, Gabe and Nancy Tyler decided to do the show in southern Saskatchewan in the town of Balgonie and had a grand time with the following wins:

  •  Gabe finishes his first Champion
  •  New Champion- Ch. Zesta Causin' A Commotion
  •  Havoc wins 3 groups and 2nd in Group
  • Points on - Zesta Wynning Edge, Zesta A Knight to Remember, Zesta Scandalous!

September 5-7th - Saskatoon Sk

Well all of us (Jenn, Gabe, Jessica and even me, Laura) headed to Saskatoon for the Labour Day weekend and had a blast. Berry Barn was fabulous as usual! Weather was perfect, dogs were great and the winning on the puppies was fun too!, Saturday was ho hum but Sunday rocked with Zesta A Knight to Remember - Lucan, picking up a set of points and then going reserve the rest of the weekend. Then Vanna - Zesta Blacken Blu was winners bitch and guided to Best of Winners and Best Puppy by Nancy Tyler and then in the Working/Herding Specialty under judge Kim LeBlanc baby Corey - Zesta Encore was Best of Winners, Best Puppy and Vanna became new Champion Zesta Blacken Blu. On Monday under breeder judge Glen Stark - Corey was again Best of Winners and Best Puppy to end the weekend on 7 points. Great job Jenn! Gabe and Nancy.  Not to be forgotten was the Rally Trials on Sunday morning that Heath and Nancy played in Novice and came away with 2 great rounds. Yeah everybody!

August

August 27-30th - Cranbrook BC

Jenn and Gabe went to Cranbrook and Havoc got his 91st and 92 BoB getting closer to the Century Club and picked up 2 Group placements as well. Jenn also did well with Zesta Real McCoy becoming a new champion and winning 2 Best Puppy in Breeds. Good Luck to all exhibitors and drive safe.

August 21-23 - Yorkton

Jenn and gang  had a great trip where Havoc picked up his 90th Best of Breed! Bonus was points on Edge and Vanna! Yahoo!

August 21-23 - Castlegar (West Kootenay)

Had a fantastic time in Castlegar  the club was great, show awesome just the pesky Wasps could leave anytime.

August 06th-09th - Winnipeg

Havoc goes Best of Opposite Sex at the WASSA Specialty under respected judge Nioma Coen of MacDega Shelties.

Vanna AKA Zesta Blacken Blu was Reserve Winners Female under judge Mark Houston McMillan of Grandgable Shelties.

While out on the island at the Glacier and Vic City Shows Natalie Thomas and Farrah aka Zesta CoverGirl are winning the Bitch points and getting closer to that Championship title.

July

July 31st - August 3rd - Calgary AB AKC shows

The gang had an exciting weekend at the Calgary shows on the conformation front:

  •  Abby picked up another  5 point win going Best of Winners under judge  Lydia Coleman Hutchinson  and a reserve winners  under judge Houston Clarke
  •  Vanna  is reserve winners and Best Puppy on Sunday under Skip Stanbridge
  •  Havoc is BoS under judge  Lydia Coleman Hutchinson and BoB and Grp 2 under judge G. Lyne to finish the weekend!

On the Obedience front:

  • Zesta Party On CD RN (Party)
    Obedience Trial Friday:  Qualified Novice B- Score 188 - 2nd place NEW CD TITLE  That's even with schnauzer mounting her during the stays.  Expertly handled by Linda Snider Awesome!

And on the Rally side: 

  • Zesta A Knights Tale CDX RN (Max)
    Trial 1 - score 87 - Trial 2 - score 90  NEW RN TITLE - YEAH!  Even with handler errors! 
     Qualified Advanced B Trial 1 - score 80 1st leg Yeah! Once again even with handler errors! Geez Linda! 

  • Zesta Wanna Be Blue CD RN (Abby)
    Qualified Novice B Trial 2 - score 95  No handler errors here, unlike the morning where I walked by a station and NQ her! Dumb!
    Qualified Novice B Trial 1 - score 96, 2nd place NEW RN TITLE -YEAH! No handler errors! Yippy!

  • Zesta Party On CD RN (Party)
    Qualified Novice B Trial 1 - score 77 (Handler error lost 10 pts), Trial 2 - score 92  (a pt off for 1 bark after we crossed finish line). Qualified Novice B Trial 1 - score 83 NEW RN TITLE (This was not a handler error she lost 10 pts cuz she sat up in her down I did not notice that.)

  • OTCH Zesta Get Smart RN - Maxwell completed  RN

  • Zesta Truly Wicked CD RN -Dayna  and Zesta Perfect Match CDX RN  - Alfie completed their 1st & 2nd Rally advanced legs.

  • Kaiser completed his 1st and 2nd  Rally novice legs.

  • Zesta Little Tugboat CDX - Tug wins high in class on his first  Rally novice leg, with very
    nice comments from the judge, and he completed his 2ndNovice
    jumpers with weaves agility leg.

  •  Zesta Blue Heaven -  Suri, completes her 1st Rally novice leg, with only 1 month of training before the trial.

And on with the Agility:

  • Baron completes his 1st and 2nd CKC Novice jumpers with weaves agility leg. 

And on the Scent Hurdle:

  • Baron also made his Scent Hurdle Race debut on Saturday in the high winds!!.

We had a great weekend!.....excitement of the high winds and  tents blowing over and all! Gabe, Jenn, Linda and Anja survived what might be there last trek to the summer AKC shows!

July  24th - 26th Swift Current Sk

McCoy picks up another set of points going winners dog and then on Sunday he goes BoW and Best Puppy in Group! Not to be out done Vanna makes her debut and comes home with her first points and a BPIB and was Reserve in a couple of shows. Great job Jenn!

July 18th & 19th Edmonton

Agility

Anja is a little slow with the news.

Obedience

Linda Snider played in the heat of the GSD Trials with both Abby and Party who said  Gees, it is way to hot out hear to listen. Then on Sunday Abby said speak louder can't hear the commands for the wind and the rain. Party said bring it on Linda and was High in Novice B way to go Linda and Party on your 2nd leg.

July  10th - 12th - Calgary AB

The weekend starts off fantastic with Ch. Tavendale's Tartan Showgirl (Tanna)  whelps a litter of 5, proud Daddy Ch.  Zesta Earth Shattering (Quake). Then good news came that Quakes son Zesta Real McCoy was winners dog for his first set of points and Abby  - Zesta Wanna Be Blue CD RN first time in confirmation is Reserve Winners female then the even better news that Tanna's daughter AVA was Best in Show - Congrats Tracy! Jenn & Gabe's one and only Pom - Flynn gets a piece of the toy group going 4th.

Saturday continues to be a good day with Chance - becoming new Champion Zesta Luck of the Draw, Ava  and Flynn winning the Herding and Toy Groups respectively!

On Sunday Zesta Wanna Be Blue (ABBY) picks up a five point win to please her owner Linda to know end!
