April

April 11th - 21st,  We all (newbie Francine, Jenn, Laura and Tracy) load up and head off to Greeley Co for the American Shetland Sheepdog Association-National Show.  We had a fantastic time and loved all the great scenery as we racked up 8600kms on 2 vehicles round trip.

It was an exciting week as we start out with the show being evacuated due to an electrical fire in the benching area just as visiting hours are about to commence. The show starts on Wednesday and Quake goes 2nd in his 12-18 month sable/white class with Tracy. Next up  was Houston who made both human and Sheltie Mama's proud Mandy by winning the 12-18 month with his breeder/owner/handler Tracy on the lead and in the same class was hairless brother to Quake, Jet who picks up a 4th in class.  What  a great day and on to the next, Laila makes her debut in the large 12-18 month sable/white class with Jenn and makes the cut as she came in season and is blowing her puppy coat. We squeezed in some shopping and a few good meals so that was great. Finally the highlight of the week was Havoc and Tracy as they kept making the cuts, I thought I was going to have to hang on to  Jenn to keep her from rushing the ring as Havoc received an Award of Merit.

We were also having a great day back at home with Clint going reserve winners and Jayne finishing her Championship with Karen Pipke to become Snoops 5th  and giving mom her ROMC.

The drive home was quite an event on Sunday with all the snow storms that we hit on the way.  However we have all made it home safe and sound.

April 4th at the Red Deer Show  - Tracy and Havoc take the Breed and a Group 2.

March 7-9 - Prince Alberta SK Quake goes Best of Opposite and then a Best of Breed and Group 4th while still a puppy!.  Jayne picks up 2 sets of points.  Way to go Jenn!!

March 1st - 3rd Arizona - Havoc is reserve winners dog for Sat & Sun  and then goes Best of Winners to be NEW American Champion on Monday. Thanks Teri for taking such good care of our boy!

While back home in Alberta,  Quake goes Best of Opposite and Jayne goes Reserve Winners female under judge Janet Lobb at the CKOC shows.

First off  Zesta Sportin' Attitude - Tyson becomes a new champion the first for the new year by going Winners dog and Best of Winners for 5 points. Then the baby of the group - Jayne, wins a large senior puppy class and goes on to be Best Puppy in Breed.
